Ritual of the Hidden Moon FAQs

What is Ritual of the Hidden Moon?

Ritual of the Hidden Moon is a silent evening (with gentle background soundscapes) dedicated to honouring the feminine and exploring your inner world through creative expression and quiet reflection. It's a sanctuary from the demands of daily life, a space for resting into your own rhythm and simply being.

What can I expect during the event?

Imagine a blend of introspective exploration, similar to wandering through a quiet art gallery combined with the gentle flow of a contemplative movement practice. You'll have the opportunity to explore various creative stations, engage with sensory materials like clay, paint, and poetry prompts, and discover unique items like natural materials and yarns to spark your imagination. Each event will offer a unique blend of creative possibilities. There will also be space for movement and a designated "chill zone" designed as a cozy, nest-like retreat if you need a moment of quiet stillness or feel overwhelmed. The main portion of the evening will be silent, allowing for deep introspection, followed by a closing sharing circle where you can verbally connect and debrief.

What should I bring?

  • A water bottle to stay hydrated.

  • Comfortable clothing that allows for movement.

  • A journal, if you wish to capture your reflections.

  • A blanket or floor pillow to create your own cozy nook, especially at the beginning of the event.

  • A personal item for the altar, if you feel called to.

What kind of creative activities will be available?

While each event is unique and the specific activities may vary, you can generally expect a blend of sensory experiences. This might include working with clay, painting, responding to poetry prompts, and engaging with various natural materials, yarns, and other found objects to create whatever your heart desires. There will be clearly laid out areas for each activity for your creative touch.

What kind of soundscapes will be played?

The background soundscapes will be gentle and ambient, designed to create a calming and introspective atmosphere. The intention is to provide a subtle layer of sound that allows individuals to feel comfortable and not self-conscious in extended silence. Examples might include nature sounds, instrumental music, or frequency-based soundscapes.
